Afghanistan government was accused of corruption in the mining sector

Two international organizations of fight against corruption on Sunday accused Afghans government inability to prevent financial
corruption in the mining sector of the country.Global Witness Organization and Afghanistan Integrity Watch stated: Ghani government, President of this country, did not concrete steps in the protection and development of Afghanistans mineral wealth during a meeting of donors in Kabul. The value of Afghanistans mineral wealth is about one trillion dollars.

The Associated Press:The mining sector is one of the few routes in Afghanistan that is considered to be self-sufficient economy. Despite the potential of this sector, international investors are reluctant to enter Afghanistan.

The most important deterrent to foreign investment in this country;clashes, corruption,poor infrastructure and lack of coherent rules in the field of mine as well.

Taliban was in revolt for 14 years in this country, many of Afghanistans mineral wealth is at their disposal and with illegal mining activities in gold mines, talc, marble, chrome and precious stones benefited its own.

A new report released by the United Nations; Taliban income from illegal mining activities in Afghanistan was ‘Enormous amount’. It may be worth tens of millions of dollars each year.
